These Terms of Service govern your use of Decigate.

By accessing or using Decigate, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. About Decigate

Decigate is a product decision-support service designed to help users research, compare and evaluate products.

Decigate may provide personalized recommendations based on the information and preferences users provide.

Decigate does not sell the third-party products it recommends unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Purchases are generally completed through third-party retailers.

2. Beta service

Decigate is currently in beta.

Features may change, be added, removed, limited or temporarily unavailable as the service develops.

During beta, certain features may be offered without charge.

Free beta access does not guarantee that the same features will remain free in the future.

3. Recommendations are decision support

Decigate provides recommendations, analysis and decision support.

Recommendations are not guarantees that a product will be suitable for every user or situation.

Users remain responsible for their own purchasing decisions.

Users should verify important product information before purchasing, including:

  • price
  • specifications
  • compatibility
  • availability
  • retailer terms
  • warranties
  • return policies

4. Product information

Decigate may use AI systems, retailer information and third-party research sources.

Although we aim to provide useful and accurate information, product details, prices and availability may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect.

Retailer information may change at any time.

5. Third-party retailers and links

Decigate may link to third-party websites or retailers.

Decigate is not responsible for:

  • third-party products
  • retailer service quality
  • shipping
  • payment processing
  • returns
  • refunds
  • warranties
  • retailer website availability
  • third-party terms or policies

Any transaction with a third-party retailer is between the user and that retailer.

6. User accounts

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account and login credentials.

Users should provide accurate information and should not access another person’s account without permission.

7. Acceptable use

Users must not:

  • misuse or interfere with the service
  • attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • scrape or extract the service at unreasonable scale

  • upload malicious code
  • abuse automated systems
  • impersonate another person or organization

8. User inputs

Users are responsible for information they submit to Decigate.

Do not submit information that you do not have the right to use.

When entering information about another person, including gift recipients, users should avoid unnecessary sensitive personal information.

9. Taste profiles and personalization

Taste Types, preference profiles and similar features are intended to improve and personalize the user experience.

They are not psychological assessments and should not be treated as definitive statements about a person’s identity or personality.

10. Intellectual property

The Decigate name, branding, interface, original content and related materials may be protected by intellectual property laws.

Users may not copy, reproduce or commercially exploit Decigate’s proprietary materials except where legally permitted or expressly authorized.

11. Availability

We aim to keep Decigate available and reliable, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed.

The service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues or third-party services.

12. Changes to the service

Decigate may modify the service as it develops.

Features, limits, eligibility, pricing and functionality may change over time.

Where appropriate, material changes will be communicated to users.

13. Future paid services

Decigate may introduce paid plans, subscriptions, credits or other paid features in the future.

If paid services are introduced, applicable pricing and payment terms will be shown before purchase.

Users will not be charged without agreeing to the applicable purchase or subscription.

14. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, Decigate is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that recommendations, product information or AI-generated outputs will always be accurate, complete or appropriate.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Decigate will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the service or reliance on recommendations.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

16. Suspension or termination

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users or comply with legal obligations.

Users may stop using Decigate at any time.
